Fertility

Homeopathy is ideal for couples experiencing problems becoming pregnant or maintaining a pregnancy, for healthy couples preparing for pregnancy, and for couples embarking on IUI or IVF.

"There is a strong body of evidence to show that homeopathy aids fertility. A German clinical trial... showed more than half of women with fertility problems experienced improved ovulation or pregnancy after taking a homeopathic remedy." Daily Mail 19-06-03

Below are some of the areas where homeopathy may help couples.

Fertility #01Fertililty Issues
Cycle imbalances, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, IUI or IVF, miscarriage, clearing the Oral Contraceptive Pill, ovarian overstimulation, Polycystic Ovaries, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), libido, hormonal upheaval from previous pregnancy, thyroid related fertility problems, unexplained infertility and so on.

For men - low sperm count, poor sperm motility, libido.

Related Imbalances
Weight Issues, candida, addictions, mercury toxicity, adrenal overload, food intolerances and other lifestyle issues.

Emotional Issues
Stress, overwhelm, apprehension, anxiety, worry, fear of responsibility, of pregnancy, of finances, of giving birth, low self esteem, past emotional issues.
Couples who have been trying to conceive for a while or are undertaking an assisted conception programme can feel under enormous strain. Homeopathy and flower essences are excellent in providing support and taking the edge off anxiety and worry, which in turn helps with the conception process.

Fertility #02Homeopathy can help:

  • Undo the effects of the oral contraceptive pill and other medication
  • Treat any underlying issues such as PCOS, fibroids or endometriosis
  • Tone the reproductive system, balance hormones and ensure ovulation
  • Establish hormonal surges at the right time to mature healthy eggs
  • Improve the quality of vaginal mucus and remove thrush
  • Modify inherited weaknesses (known as miasms)
  • Support you emotionally by releasing emotional blocks to fertility

  • Preconception Health
Preconception care is not a new concept, but it is not often publicised how the general health of both the mother and father-to-be will affect their fertility as well as the health of any baby.
Most people know that alcohol, smoking and drug use during pregnancy is dangerous for the unborn child, but these habits also affect the quality of eggs and sperm before conception, and may even prevent conception. Other factors which influence fertility are:

  • Nutritional health of the couple. It is not uncommon for couples to be deficient in vitamins and minerals that are crucial to conception, even though they are eating carefully.
  • Toxic metals from our environment
  • Electromagnetic fields and geopathic stress
  • Pollution
  • Allergies, including candida
  • Genito urinary infections
  • "Social poisons" - alcohol, cigarettes, recreational drugs

Investing the time to improve your health before conceiving reduces the chances of miscarriage, birth defects, poor resistance to infection, low birth weight, post-natal depression, premature birth and many more problems relating to conception, pregnancy and birth.

It's not just about getting pregnant, it's about giving your baby the best possible start in life. It may seem that making lifestyle changes is a huge upheaval, but it will speed conception and create a healthier baby. For the man at least, it is only for a (usually) short period of time, and after conception he can relax his habits if he wishes.

I am an accredited Foresight Preconception Practitioner and work within Foresight's preconception plan to optimise health before conception in order to give mother and baby the best possible health and start in life. Foresight recommends homeopathy as one of the ways to increase one's preconception health.

Foresight is open to everyone but it tends to be women with infertility issues and older mums who discover Foresight and follow the plan. Despite conventional medicine giving lower chances of conception for these women, Foresight regularly helps achieve c1,000 babies a year and has a success rate of over 80%.
